This Privacy Statement applies only to the operation of websites that directly link to this Privacy Statement when you click on "privacy statement" in this website footer and may also apply where specifically referenced as it relates to adding or modifying your Personal Information in our volunteer database and our communications with you, including through SMS text messages. Terms of Use for operation of this website can be found here. This website also uses cookies. To obtain further information relating to the cookies operating on this website, please view the Cookies Statement found here. This Privacy Statement is supplemental to the general privacy statement on Labcorp’s main website (www.labcorp.com) which can be found here.

  • Information relevant to your suitability for clinical trials (e.g. weight, height, health information, ethnicity, etc.).

When you submit information considered to be sensitive Personal Information (such as information about your ethnicity or health information) to us, you are consenting to our use of such information. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the details below. This information is necessary for us to identify whether you are potentially suitable to be invited to participate in clinical trials as outlined under the heading 'How we will use Your Information' below. We may be required by law to collect certain Personal information about you or as a consequence of any contractual relationship we have with you. How we will use your Personal Information
We will add your Personal Information as volunteered by you via this website, on to our volunteer database, and use it, in accordance with your preferences, to identify and notify you of clinical trials and services which may be suitable for you to be invited to participate in. It is in our legitimate business interests for us to use your Personal Information in this way so that we can maintain our volunteer database. In addition, this allows us to fulfill our contractual obligations to you so we can identify and notify you of clinical trials and services that may be suitable for you.

Please note that the submission of your Personal Information via this website or the addition of your Personal Information to the volunteer database does not mean that you will be invited or selected to take part in any clinical trial either now or in the future. In the event that it is established that you may be suitable for a particular clinical trial you may be invited to be screened to take part. The screening process, which is outside the scope of this Privacy Statement, is generally done face-to-face and will require you to supply additional Personal Information to us, including further sensitive personal data, and to undergo certain medical tests. You will be required to enter into a separate privacy agreement in advance of undertaking the screening process relating to the use of Personal Information you volunteer at that stage.

A member of our team may contact you directly by way of following-up with you, including contacting you directly, in accordance with your preferences, by telephone or other means, including SMS text messages, and adding your Personal Information to our volunteer database.

We may also use your Personal Information to respond to subsequent requests you may make of us. It is in our legitimate interests that we are able to provide you with appropriate responses and provide you with notice about our services.

We may use any of the categories of your Personal Information to exercise our legal rights where it is necessary to do so, for example to detect, prevent and respond to fraud claims, intellectual property infringement claims or violations of law or the contract.

When we process Personal Information to meet our legitimate interests (including for the purposes of communicating with you and exercising our rights as set out above), we balance these against your fundamental rights and freedoms and put in place appropriate safeguards to protect your privacy.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk to the Personal Information we process. These measures are aimed at ensuring the on-going integrity and confidentiality of Personal Information. We evaluate these measures on a regular basis to ensure the security of the processing.

  • Deal with any complaints submitted by you regarding the services.

We will delete your Personal Information when it is no longer required for these purposes. If there is any information that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further processing or use of the data.
